NEW YORK -- A night that began with the New York Mets celebrating the 1986 World Series championship team ended with Chase Utley reminding fans why they'll be haunted by him for the next 30 years -- and beyond.
Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard was ejected in the third inning for throwing at Utley, who broke a scoreless tie with a homer leading off the sixth and busted the game open with a grand slam in the seventh of the Los Angeles Dodgers' 9-1 win in front of 42,227 quieted fans at Citi Field.
The Dodgers (26-24) won for the fifth time in six games.
