Uribe was shaken up after diving for Brett Gardner's two-out infield hit, spending several minutes talking to trainer Ray Ramirez on the field. He remained in the game and took his at-bat in the bottom of the inning, but played just one additional inning on defense. Daniel Murphy replaced Uribe at second base in the top of the fifth.
Uribe, who came to the Mets alongside Kelly Johnson in a July 24 trade, is batting .214 in his new home. But six of his 27 hits have been home runs, several of them in big spots, and Uribe has also drawn rave reviews for his influence inside the clubhouse.
