Juan Uribe fielded grounders before Game 2 of the NLCS and could be ready for the World Series if the Mets advance (Oct. 18).
Uribe, 36, has played just twice since suffering cartilage damage in his chest diving for a ground ball at second base on Sept. 20.
He missed the NLDS and is not on the team’s NLCS roster, though has resumed baseball activity by swinging a bat in the cage and throwing a baseball.
Uribe, who is batting .219 with six home runs and 20 RBIs since joining the Mets in July, aggravated the chest injury in the middle of a pinch-hit at-bat on Sept.
