Welcome to UnforMETable, an Amazin’ Avenue Audio show that looks back on less heralded, more obscure Mets players from the past.
Signed as a minor league free agent prior to the 2009 season, Omir Santos seemed to be an organizational depth piece. Injuries got him a chance on the major league roster, which enabled Santos to provide a few memorable moments—including a Citi Field milestone and a dramatic game-winning home run as a surprise contributor to a club with high aspirations that would ultimately disappoint.
As always, you can listen or subscribe to this and all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show.
