LOS ANGELES — If right before the NLDS began, you were told David Wright would fail to hit Twiggy’s weight and that Lucas Duda would fail to hit David Wright’s weight, would you have liked the Mets’ chances?
Liars.
OK, they have great pitching but still, two key starters coming down with offensive anemia at the same time would not bode well. Wright went 1-for-16 (.063) while Duda was 2-for-18 (.111) with 11 strikeouts.
If you win, all is forgiven, but the Cubs might not be too forgiving in the NLCS. Still, for now all is forgiven.
