The Mariners and Indians are among the multiple teams interested in acquiring Mets infielder Asdrubal Cabrera, a major league source recently told NY Post reporter Mike Puma.
The Red Sox, who had been looking to acquire a third baseman or super utility guy, have also reportedly contacted the Mets about Cabrera.
In late June, Cabrera, 31, began starting games at second base, where he hadn't played on a regular basis since 2014. This past weekend, he started first game ever at third base.
