It was natural for the Mets to be frustrated after losing their first-place seat following another loss to the Braves, and even more so when Jacob deGrom abruptly left his start with a hyperextended right elbow.
But Todd Frazier's frustration about Wednesday's night contest didn't stem from either of those cases. Instead, he had a bone to pick with the umpires.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Frazier was seen talking back to home plate umpire Lance Barrett after a questionable strike call. Barrett even had to call timeout to talk with the third baseman.
