Two weeks into camp, the Mets are down two infielders.
Todd Frazier is the second walking wounded, as the third baseman has a strained left oblique, incurred Monday, that the Mets do not believe is severe. The next step for Frazier, who had an MRI exam, is to get a cortisone shot in New York.
Frazier was hitting in camp when, “At the end I felt a little tightness in my left side.” He said Tuesday he has never had an injury like this, though he had a left oblique issue in 2017 in spring training with the White Sox.
