NEW YORK -- The New York Mets announced today that they have recalled infielder Neil Walker from his rehabilitation assignment and activated him from the disabled list. The Mets placed infielder T.J. Rivera on the 10-Day Disabled List, retroactive to July 27, with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament of his right elbow. Rivera received a PRP injection.
Walker went 5-19 (.263) in five rehabilitation games with Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. He has been on the DL since June 15, with a partial tear in his left hamstring.
