PORT ST. LUCIE — Tim Tebow is aware that Jose Canseco has offered to work with him to make him a more powerful hitter.
“I’ve heard about it,’’ the Mets outfielder said Friday at First Data Field, where he played in an intrasquad game on the back fields before he went 0-for-1 in a 10-3 loss to the Marlins.
“I appreciate it and I appreciate him wanting to work with me. It’s an honor. He’s a great player, but for me, I have a lot of great coaches here.’’
Canseco told TMZ that Tebow “needs help.
