WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — It was a mixed bag for Tim Tebow on Thursday.
Tebow came to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the sixth and with the crowd buzzing, delivered an RBI single up the middle off lefty Matt Grace during the Mets’ 6-4 loss to the Nationals at Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. He was denied a second RBI when J.D. Davis was gunned down at the plate when trying to score from second.
Unfortunately for Tebow, he had to leave the game in the eighth after being hit in the left foot by a pitch from Kyle Barraclough in the eighth.
