Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals: It would be fair to say that the Cardinals’ stretch-drive and postseason rookie hero from 2013 has something to prove after last year’s injury-abbreviated season of setbacks. Notching his third win in three starts by beating bazillionaire Max Scherzer and the Nationals certainly suggests that this might be the full-season breakthrough the Cardinals hoped for from Wacha as a sophomore.
