- Syndergaard joined Walt Terrell (1983) as the only Mets pitchers to homer twice in the same game and drove in all four runs. On the mound he wasn't quite as dominant early, allowing two solo home runs in the first four innings before settling in and retiring 11 straight batters between the fourth and eighth innings.
