CHICAGO — The Cubs returned to Wrigley Field on Monday in the NLCS with an unenviable task ahead of them, down 0-2 to the Mets.
But Theo Epstein has been here before and isn’t daunted.
“I think the series is far from over,” the Cubs President of Baseball Operations said Monday before the team worked out in advance of Tuesday’s Game 3. “I’d be shocked if this is how we’re going out. It’s not representative of the talent and character we have in this clubhouse. I think we’ll show a lot better baseball over course of this series.
