The New York Mets received some good news on the injury front on Wednesday afternoon. Third baseman/outfielder J.D. Davis, who jammed his left shoulder while diving for a ball in the hot corner on Tuesday, had an MRI today and it was negative.
To be more specific, the MRI showed “no new structural damage,” according to Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen.
The GM said that the test “didn’t show a ton of inflammation” either. Davis landed hard on his shoulder while trying to catch a ground ball in a Grapefruit League game.
