It didn’t take long for T-shirts emblazoned with the word “Savages” — an ode to manager Aaron Boone’s notorious rant aimed at an umpire in July — to make its way 128 miles west of Yankee Stadium and into the organization’s Triple-A clubhouse.
There was, however, one unwritten rule when it came to the garb, as one Scranton/Wilkes-Barre player told The Post: Only those who have worn the big-club’s pinstripes could flaunt the rallying cry deep in the Endless Mountains.
That of course left out, among others, top prospect Deivi Garcia, but perhaps the right-handed pitcher will be fitted soon.
