Even if the Mets were going into the 2025 season with a pair of replacement level outfielders slotted into left and center field, you could make an argument that the group as a whole would be good because Juan Soto is in it. Fortunately for the Mets, though, the 26-year-old right fielder might be the best of the bunch, but he isn’t the only good player in the group.
The projection systems at FanGraphs paint an almost-absurd picture of what Soto will do at the plate this year. The worst single set has him finishing the year with a 157 wRC+.
