After a lackluster All-Star break, the Mets travel to Miami for a four game series at loanDepot Park against the Marlins. The good news for the Marlins is that they are not the White Sox, who are the only team in baseball with a worse record than the Fish this season.
It isn’t hard to see why the Marlins are not very good: their offense is terrible. Their team wRC+ is 78, or 22% below league average, which is second worse in all of baseball and worst in the National League. For comparison, the Mets wRC+ is 114, and the Dodgers, with the best offense in baseball is at 118, which means that the Marlins are farther from the average than the Dodgers are.
