I have to give Terry Collins credit for something. Yes, my head was spinning when Gabriel Ynoa was pulled after just two innings. My first thought, of course, was that Ynoa was in an ambulance headed for St. John’s Hospital. (Then, of course, to Elmhurst Hospital after the Mets realized that St. John’s has been closed for ten years.) But when that wasn’t the case, my second thought was “what in the world is Collins doing, pulling Ynoa after two innings for a pinch hitter and going for seven bullpen innings with Sean Gilmartin going tomorrow in Syndergaard’s place … we’re all going to die!
