1) Kelly Johnson and Wilmer Flores will platoon at second base, with James Loney at first base, mostly because of his fielding. However, it's possible Flores could get more time at first, depending on the match up.
2) Asdrubal Cabrera and Yoenis Cespedes were due a day off, so he chose today because of the wet field. However, they are both available to pinch hit if needed.
3) Cespedes likely needs a day off every three or four days to rest and his quad muscle, which had him on the disabled list for two weeks earlier this month.
