PORT ST. LUCIE — David Wright’s second game of the spring went fairly smoothly, although he wasn’t able to come up with David Murphy’s hard grounder in the top of the second.
“I felt like I had a good bead on it,” Wright said. “It took kind of a tricky hop. I don’t know if I had been out there more if I would have gotten it. The good thing is I felt like I was there to make the play. Now it’s just a matter of finishing it off.”
Terry Collins called the grounder a play Wright routinely makes.
