Tebow Watch: Mets Minor-Leaguer Drives In First Runs In Nearly A Month

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CBSNewYork/AP)Tim Tebow drove in his first runs in nearly a month with two RBIs in the Columbia Fireflies’ road win against the Delmarva (Maryland) Shorebirds.

The former NFL quarterback has 11 RBIs on the season with the New York Mets’ Single-A affiliate, but also has struck out 31 times. Weather wreaked havoc during the Fireflies’ road trip this week with games canceled or postponed at Delmarva and at the Lakewood (New Jersey) BlueClaws.

Still, Columbia went 4-0 with Tebow playing in three of the contests.

A look how Tebow has fared this season:

HIGHLIGHTS: Tebow had his first RBIs since April 16, ending an 18-game drought as he drove in two runs in a 7-1 victory at Delmarva on Wednesday night.
