Tebow day-to-day after leaving AFL game with injury

Free-agent C Wilson Ramos still plans to seek a four- or five-year contract, despite having season-ending knee surgery in September, his agent told the Washington Post.

In 523 plate appearances this past season, Ramos, 28, hit .307 with a career-high 22 home runs, while throwing out 37 percent of opposing base-stealers and drawing strong marks for pitch-framing, according to Baseball Prospectus.

Ramos is expected to be sidelined for 6-to-8 months following surgery, and unlikely to return to a big-league roster until late in 2017.

In early October, Terry Collins told ESPN that C Travis d'Arnaud will be one of the organization's biggest projects during Spring Training.
