Ahead of the July 31 trade deadline, New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard‘s name has come up in trade talks. He’s been linked to teams such as the New York Yankees along with the San Diego Padres.
And according to Anthony McCarron of SNY, scouts were in attendance for the Mets’ Wednesday night game against the Padres at Citi Field to evaluate Syndergaard.
As far as an eventual trade happening for the veteran pitcher, one of the scouts said ”I would be surprised, unless someone knocked their socks off,” per McCarron.
