Yet again, the Mets are playing short and with a weak lineup. Why does this keep happening?
Last night, against Pirates rookie RHP Jameson Taillon, Kelly Johnson was batting fifth for the Mets, Alejandro De Aza hit leadoff, James Loney started at first base and Kevin Plawecki set up behind the plate.
"If you think I'm going to criticize my lineup, you're talking to the wrong guy," Terry Collins later said, when asked if Taillon or his lineup was more responsible for the lack of scoring. "Obviously, you have to make adjustments, no matter who you face on a nightly basis.
