Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard has been scratched from Saturday's start against the Phillies due to strep throat, manager Terry Collins said Friday.
LHP Sean Gilmartin will start in Syndergaard's place.
Collins said he hopes to slot Syndergaard back in the rotation Monday or Tuesday.
As far as whether the change to Syndergaard's schedule could impact him starting the potential Wild Card game, Collins said the team "can't worry about that" right now, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
Syndergaard allowed five runs on eight hits while walking three and striking out five in 3 2/3 innings against the Braves on Monday.
