Noah Syndergaard took the mound for his second spring training start after dismissing concerns about routinely touching 100 MPH in his first start.
While Syndergaard only hit 100 MPH twice on Saturday against the Marlins, he did look sharp. In 3 IP, he allowed one run with 4 K. He threw 44 pitches, 30 of which for strikes.
Syndergaard's one earned run came in the first inning as a direct result to walking the leadoff hitter, Braxton Lee. A few batters later, Lee came around to score on a Justin Bour single, that deflected off Syndergaard.
