NEW YORK (AP) -- Noah Syndergaard pitched six-hit ball into the eighth inning and connected for his first major league home run, Lucas Duda homered twice and the New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-0 Wednesday to complete a three-game sweep.
Syndergaard (2-2) struck out six in 7 1-3 innings to become the first rookie in Mets history to strike out at least five batters in each of his first four starts.
