It’s pretty great that Marcus Stroman and Francisco Lindor are Mets at the same time, and they both contributed significantly to the team’s win over the Padres today at Citi Field.
Stroman didn’t allow any runs through six innings and gave up just one run in his start on a solo home run by Fernando Tatis Jr. in the top of the seventh. He struck out eight, walked one, and scattered six hits over the course of his start. As has usually been the case this season, the Mets’ defense backed him up nicely, with the recently-activated Luis Guillorme providing the most highlight-worthy plays in the field.
