OK, I joke! But guys do want the opportunity. In the National League, Clayton Kershaw was a lock to draw the assignment until he landed on the DL. Madison Bumgarner appeared next in line, but he starts Sunday and thus will be restricted from pitching on Tuesday. The deep list of starters in the NL having monster seasons means we still have five excellent options, however: Jake Arrieta, Noah Syndergaard, Johnny Cueto, Jose Fernandez and Stephen Strasburg.
