Like any baseball-loving kid, Steven Matz dreamed of the World Series growing up. Now he'll get to pitch in a Fall Classic game for the team he grew up rooting for while commuting from his parents' Long Island home.
And like any Long Islander, he's got a handle on the traffic situation.
"I will be staying home," Matz said in a pre-game press conference before Friday's Game 3. "I did that pretty much ever since I came back from getting hurt. I just commute.
"We're on off hours, so there's not much traffic. It's not too terrible.
