Mets lefthander Steven Matz is on the roster for the National League Division Series against the Dodgers.
The 24-year-old Ward Melville product threw 80 pitches in an instructional league intrasquad scrimmage on Thursday in Port St. Lucie to test his troublesome back. Matz said that he felt fine after Thursday's work.
Matz was scratched from starts during the season's final week because of back trouble. He was scheduled to play catch Friday, and if he got through the session without any issues, he was expected to be added to the NLDS roster, which was due at 1 p.
