Marlins INF Starlin Castro wants to be traded, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, who says Castro does not want to be part of the rebuilding process.
Castro was traded to the Marlins by the Yankees last month in the Giancarlo Stanton deal. It was reportedly shortly after by the NY Daily News' Kristie Ackert that the Mets would reach out to the Marlins about Castro.
The 27-year-old Castro hit .300/.338/.454 with 16 HR in 112 games last season for the Yankees.
He will earn $10 million in 2018, $11 million in 2019, and has a $16 million club option for 2020.
