Seth Lugo is a weapon in the bullpen, and he should stay there

Mickey Callaway said in late March that Seth Lugo would be his fifth starting pitcher.

Instead, due to the third game of the season being snowed out, Lugo was skipped in the rotation and tossed two dominant innings out of the bullpen on Tuesday night... and the bullpen is exactly where I'd like him to stay...

"He's a weapon in the pen and we're going to use him until he may have to start again," Callaway said after Lugo helped defeat the Phillies, 2-0, at Citi Field on Tuesday.

Jason Vargas should have been the team's fifth starting pitcher, with Lugo, Robert Gsellman and Zack Wheeler waiting to step in if needed.
