Sean Reid-Foley will act as the 27th man for Mets’ doubleheader

After being optioned yesterday to Triple-A Syracuse, Sean Reid-Foley has been announced as the 27th man on the roster for both games of the doubleheader between the Mets and the Cardinals today. Reid-Foley, who has made 2 appearances for the Mets thus far, has been excellent in his limited role with the team, throwing five innings of shutout ball. He has allowed two hits, struck out seven, and walked none thus far.

The Mets have not announced a starter for the second game yet, but it is suspected to be Jordan Yamamoto, who was the corresponding roster move when Reid-Foley was sent down yesterday.
