The Mets bounced back after losing two of three to the Washington Nationals with a three-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Mets completed the sweep with a 3-1 win Sunday afternoon. Noah Syndergaard struck out 11 and did not walk a batter in seven innings to get the victory over the Brewers.
Syndergaard, who allow neither a run nor a walk and struck out 10 Nationals in his previous start, joined Dwight Gooden as the only Mets pitchers to have consecutive starts with double-digit strikeouts and no bases on balls.
