Schwei’s Mets Notes: Curtis Granderson Makes History

The New York Mets bounced back after losing two of three to the Nationals with a three-game sweep of the Twins and moved into the lead for the first National League wild-card spot in the race for the postseason.

The Mets completed the sweep with a 3-2 win over Minnesota on Sunday afternoon. Gabriel Ynoa made his first start for the Mets, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing one run on four hits while striking out eight in a no-decision. The Mets are now a combined 10-4 in games started by Ynoa (1-0), Seth Lugo (5-1), Robert Gsellman (2-2) and Rafael Montero (2-1).
