Mets RHP Fernando Salas is expected to report to spring training on Sunday after dealing with visa issues following the World Baseball Classic.
Mets manager Terry Collins said he may have Salas pitch every other day before the start of the season since he will have such a late start.
Salas made one appearance in the WBC for Team Mexico, giving up one run -- a home run -- on three hits.
Salas appeared in 17 games for the Mets in 2016, posting a 2.08 ERA. He is one of four relievers expected to be a lock for opening day, according to Matt Ehalt of NJ.
