Rumor Central: Mets looking at Doug Fister for rotation depth?

After absorbing a pair of hits to their sizable pitching depth, the New York Mets might be looking for veteran rotation help.

The Mets received a double dose of bad news this week when Seth Lugo was diagnosed with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow and it was announced that Steven Matz will be sidelined until at least May with a flexor tendon strain.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports the Mets have looked at Doug Fister, likely the top veteran starter still left on the market.
