After recently signing pitchers Frankie Montas and Clay Holmes, the New York Mets are looking to add another starting pitcher, according to a report from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon.
The rumor highlights right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, a 13-year MLB veteran who pitched his last two seasons for the Texas Rangers and was a key factor in their 2023 World Series victory. Eovaldi put up a 3.80 ERA over 170 2⁄3 innings for Texas in 2024, going 12-8 in 29 starts.
The report also mentions right-handers Nick Pivetta and Jack Flaherty, both eight-year veterans.
