PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Outfielder Roger Bernadina has arrived at New York Mets camp after a visa delay.
Bernadina, a native of Curacao, needed to travel to the Netherlands to secure the proper visa.
Bernadina, 31, signed a minor-league contract with the Mets in early February. He is projected to open the season at Triple-A Las Vegas.
He last appeared in the majors in 2014, when he hit a combined .167/.304/.258 in 80 plate appearances with the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers.
