Robinson Cano exits tonight’s game with left quad tightness

In his first game back from the Injured List, Robinson Cano was removed prior to the start of the fifth inning with left quad tightness. The New York Mets activated Cano prior tonight’s game against the San Francisco Giants. To make room for Cano, the club designated Aaron Altherr for assignment.

Cano landed on the Injured List on May 23 after exiting the previous game with a low-grade left quad strain. The 36-year-old missed 12 games with the injury but returned without a rehab assignment.
