NEW YORK -- Matt Harvey has been healthy throughout his first season back from Tommy John surgery. With the exception of one four-start stretch from late May to early June, he has also been dynamic the entire time, posting a 2.60 ERA in 25 outings thus far in 2015.
But the Mets and Harvey's agent, Scott Boras, are reportedly at odds over how to keep Harvey healthy going forward. A CBS Sports report on Friday quoted Boras as insistent that the Mets keep Harvey under a hard limit of 180 innings including the playoffs -- not the soft regular-season limit the Mets have quoted for him, with an eye toward unleashing him fully in October.
