NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — According to KHNL in Honolulu, Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes was reportedly arrested for assaulting his wife in a hotel room in Hawaii.
The television station reports that the alleged incident took place on Halloween at the Four Seasons Resort Maui.
KHNL reports that Reyes’ wife, Katherine, told police officers that the former Mets great grabbed her by the throat and proceeded to throw her into a glass door. According to the station, Katherine said she sustained thigh, neck and wrist injuries.
The 32-year-old was arrested for abuse, according to KHNL, and was subsequently released on bail.
