Raissman: TBS quick to ground Mets complaint on ivy

The Cubs couldn’t thwart the Mets’ running game Tuesday night. The Wrigley Field Ivy did.

The crazy 6th inning sequence turned out to be one of TBS’ finest of the NLCS. The crew took attention to detail to another level.

After Wilmer Flores’ liner to right got by Jorge Soler, the ball roll under the ivy. Dexter Fowler stopped just short of the wall and raised his arms in the air, rather than attempting to go gardening for the baseball. The umpires ruled it a ground rule double, sending Michael Conforto back to third and Flores to second.
