Free agent RHP R.A. Dickey wants to pitch and has offers, but has not yet decided whether he will pitch in 2018, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The Braves declined their $8 million option for Dickey after the season.
In September, Dickey told reporters he had recently started considering retirement. In early-October, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's beat reporter, Dave O'Brien, said the Braves expected Dickey to not play next season regardless of how they handled his option.
"It'll be a family decision," Dickey said in September, when asked about his plans for next season.
