Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck and NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton have placed a deli lunch bet on who will win the upcoming Mets-Dodgers playoff showdown.
If the Mets thump the Dodgers, Beck will pick up the tab at Larry King hangout Langer’s Deli in Lala Land.
For a Dodgers victory in the National League Division Series, then Bratton would have to buy lunch at Katz’s Delicatessen on Houston Street.
Bratton is seeking to even the score with Beck after losing the same bet back in 2014 when the Rangers fell to the LA Kings in the Stanley Cup final.
