NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Former New York Mets outfielder Darryl Hamilton was killed Sunday, a victim of an apparent murder-suicide in Texas, authorities said. He was 50.
Hamilton, who worked as an analyst on the MLB Network, was found after police responded to a home in the suburb of Pearland, according to the Houston Chronicle. Investigators believe he was shot multiple times before Monica Jordan — the mother of his 14-month-old child — turned the gun on herself, the newspaper reported.
RIP, Darryl Hamilton. I can’t believe I am even typing this. I loved working with him, loved being around him.
