And, despite a successful team having been built after he left for Miami, he carries himself and interacts with his current teammates as if he had been here the entire time.
In the old days, I marveled at watching Reyes field ground balls and throw to first base. It's such a routine, simple act, but he was so much more smooth -- yet also explosive -- in his movements it made the players around him look they were playing a different game.
