PITTSBURGH -- The Mets traded veteran infielder Asdrubal Cabrera to the Phillies on Friday for Double-A right-hander Franklyn Kilome.
Kilome has made 19 starts for Reading in 2018, recording 83 strikeouts to counter 51 walks while accumulating a 4.24 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 102 innings. The 23-year-old will join the Mets farm system that landed four prospects on MLB Pipeline's updated Top 100 list on Thursday. Kilome was the Phillies' No. 10 prospect.
Cabrera, 32, played one of his best games of the season on Thursday night as he collected three extra-base hits and produced a season-high four RBIs against the Pirates at PNC Park.
